I would say it's certainly the same actor. While not a star I've also seen him in TV programmes in the past. Don't know his name, though.

Makes me smile this ad - the little tune is chirpy. But whats it got to do with Barclaycard? I haven't really watched it closely so it might be really obvious though, maybe he's sliding down the flume cus prices are dropping? nah that can't be it.......

And why does he say, can you get me a towel at the end?

It was Stephen Mangan on the old ones, this guy is called Robert Wilfort. He is the same guy and I am certain he lives in my town, I see him everywhere!
