I haven't seen the advert but the original was by Leonard Cohen and has been covered by Rufus Wainwright as well as many others.

I'm looking for the same answer but I think this might be Ryan Adams as it sounds very much like his voice. If you listen to any of his tracks you will know what I mean...if it is him then I will be reporting back as the I will be down the record shops to buy it :)

I've just found out the band and they're called Brigyn from Wales and it looks like they're set to release it as a single for xmas. Its sung in Welsh and the website for the band is http://www.brigyn.com

Hope this helps, he does sound very much like Ryan Adams in places though so he kind of fooled me, particularly as I'm a big fan of Ryan Adams.
