velux window blinds

Has anyone any ideas on how I can make blinds for velux windows. my daughter has just moved into a house with velux windows and cannot afford to buy custom made blinds as they are quite expensive and she needs two. Thanks, Kath.

Velux themselves can supply them Kitty........................you don't need customised..............Google Velux :o)

I think I may have used the wrong word when I said custom made blinds, what I meant was ready made. I have googled and also looked on ebay but found them too expensive and I am sure I could do a reasonable job of making some if I had a little help. Thanks for your suggestion. Kath.

Thanks Bob (the builder), I definitely will get recommendations before hiring anyone as I have seen too many builders from hell programmes, if you know of anyone available ( I am West Yorkshire) do let me know. Kath. :-D

Kath, might I be so bold as to recommend Designer Factory Kitchens (DFK) of Bradford (Leeds Road). They recently did mine and I am very pleased. I hope that doesn't break the advertising rules here, but I don't work for them or anything - just a satisfied customer!

Thankyou LCDMAN, yes you may be so bold, personal recommendations are so much more helpful than any advert in a phonebook or newspaper. I need a complete kitchen makeover with electrics, plumbing plastering etc and I need to know that I will get a good job done and not be charged over the odds, I will make a note of this firm and maybe give them a call when the weather picks up. I will get back to you if need be if that is alright. Kath. ps I am in Halifax.
