The actress, you mean, or the ad agency that conceived the idea and developed the ad?
Question Author
Sorry Ethel i mean the actress, not particularly her but any actor in a 30 sec advert.
Question Author
In fact Ethel why dont you give mr both answers then i will be somewhere near to being as smart as you.
If she was a star name and got royalties (a fee every time the ad is shown) it could be quite a lot. But the few actors I know are increasingly being offered buy-outs, a one-off fee for doing the ad no matter how often it is shown.
An extra or "background artist" could be offered anything from 25-100 for a day's work.
The actor's Union, Equity, recommends I think, that the minimum fee for an extra's day should be 40.
