What is the music that is playing in the background to the Britain's Forgotten Children advert shown just after Shamless tonight on CH4 ?
I think its an instrument version of an 80's song which I just cant place and its driving me nuts.

It definitely was not Pink Floyd. I am a huge fan (even seeing Australian PF live next month) and any advert feature their music I would have noticed.
I think the music I am looking for was on the soundtrack to an 80's film - i just cant remember what one but I am on the case as I need to know.
sorry heard them last night just cant remember what for. hope you get your answer and enjoy aussie pf.
If its the one with the kids disappearing into the ground the track is Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Actually the film I was thinking of was The Wraith (1986) starring Charley Sheen and Sheryln Fenn. Basically a cars and girls film.
There is a song in it which uses a very similar backing track called Hold on Blue Eyes by La Marca.
if you do a search on youtube for it and have a listen to the track you will see why I got so confused as they are very similar.
What do you think ?
Pink Floyd's song is used in the More4 trailer for ER.

Gimme Shelter was also used in the movie The Departed.
