The programme being broadcast at 0105, on BBC World Service, was the Saturday edition of the regular arts programme, 'The Strand'.
The content listing includes this:
"David Harrington of the Kronos string quartet discusses their new album Floodplain, in which they perform compositions from an eclectic mix of musical cultures -- from Azerbaijan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Palestine, India and Iraq among others. Taking their inspiration from areas of the world subject to flooding and, in consequence, fertility, they play with the theme of re-birth with results that are at times beautiful, evocative and arresting".
