Morning Joy - sorry I did'nt come back onto your post last night - I went to bed early feeling a bit grotty.

As I said in my earlier post - one minute you were playing a word game - when I came back from my dinner, you were threatening to leave - WHAT HAPPENED !

We have established that some abers on here are so far up their own ass they would need a compass and map to get out ! so just ignore them Joy and play with the nice ones.

If your little grandson, Ben came home from school and said he was being bullied Joy - what would you do ? My advice would be, surround yourself with good little playmates Ben and ignore the bullies, because no-one likes being ignored. Obviously if if was physical bullying, I would be down that school and punch their lights out (but thats just me!!!!!!!), Ha Ha Ha

On CB Joy, you are surrounded by lovely little 'playmates' - in fact I would say you are amongst one of the popular people on here - (could'nt quite understand sqad's comment about 'becoming too popular too soon' - thats a bit of a puzzle.

Anyway Joy - hope to speak to you soon - it is a shame we can't communicate 'for real' - but that would be too risky on here, giving details etc.

Love Denise xx

p.s. I once stood my ground with a woman where I used to live - everybody in the street was terrified of her - the argument was over children (as it normally is) I got pulled into it because her older daughter had been picking on my son, who was 9 at the time. To cut a long story short - after that incident, we talked and got quite friendly (though I am quite easy going) which I know helps. She said she respected me for standing up to her.

I think that shove I gave her worked !!

Hello DEN, sqad was being really lovely, so no blame there. I will adhere to what I daid last night and wont name names, it actually turned out to be a funny old night, I cracked open a bottle of Rose (courtesy of lovely Jan) and whoooooosh, my inibitions disappeared...lol
not a good thing to do tho'
hiding at the bottom of a bottle didn't do anygood to anyone....so that was a treat for me, you are right I would love to keep in touch but that wouldn't be appropiate on here pet, I am having a shot in News, not as entertaining but not too bad either
Love Joy or Bobbi,,,,lol, I have lost my identity and am alone in the desert,,,lol
thank you so much for you kind words love, they are greatly appriciated...x
Den, in answer to yopu comment about my comment......it is a human failing and particularly a British failing to knock anyone, in any aspect of life who becomes succsessful, has money or does well.

Not so the Americans who aplaud success.

Now Joy came and at first was wondering why she was not getting accepted and I posted her saying that you have to be part of the inner circle (mainly female I may add) and I have been knocked down on this item many a time.

Joy was quickly accepted as a most popular contributor and she tried hard (too hard initially) to be accepted.
he has been a HUGE success, in a matter of days and this success has been unacceptable for some.

To build people up and knock them down again is a British sport not excluded from ABers.

Does this Den go some way to explain my comments?

Errr - sort of Sqad -I think the majority of Abers are men - some apparant and some not so apparant. So you think Joy tried TOO HARD initially to get liked on AB - I don't think she was aware she was entering a popularity contest.

I do get your drift though about us Brits not liking success - I think it comes under the heading of jealousy. When an Aber has posted a question on CB or just making conversation - the usual numpties hijack the post and start spouting their rubbish. Sometimes its funny, but most of the time its boring.

It sounded like you had a good time in the Uk at the weekend Sqad - just one little question - how did you know DofG had stockings on ????? Ha Ha Ha Ha
Mmmmmmmmm - I had picked up on that one too Den!!

Hiya Yogi - my dear furry friend - how you diddling today - I bet that lovely fur coat of yours is keeping you warm - I have just put the heating on - I am bloody freezing.

that's blown it, I had to tell funnygirl what I thought,,,oh, well such is life,,
don't give up on us Bobbisox / Joy.
It is easy to be deterred from coming on here as a 'newbie' - been there...done that... stuck with it.

Ignore the horridness - you can become too popular on here too soon, I've seen it. It's a bit like the tall poppy syndrome - get too high too quick & all some people want to do is knock you down. Either that or test you out to see how far you will go before they can break you.

Don't let them - they;'ll back off.
You have made a good contribution to CB - go to news & any other section by all means, but don't feel you have to leave this one. Trina x
what a fab name trina, I have had to go into the corrie/EE thread and make a contribution,,,,oh-oh,,,lol
funny, that poopy thing, that's my birthday Poppy Day,,,lol
poopy thing,,,oh well,,,lol
Den/salla.......wide use of the term that females wear which disappears under the skirt......could have neen tights I suppose.!!!!!

For reference...Dof G stands for Daughter of Godzila......salla already knows the abreviation.
Hi Den

I did know what D of G was Sqaddy - I have read your other posts. I thought you might have pulled her in for a goodnight kiss and felt her susses. ha ha ha
I'm pretty sure you're good at both, my lovely xxx

:0)
theres nowt like a dig at my roots to fetch me out of the closet with bayonet in me hand,,,,lol
we are fiecely proud people as are others around the country, of their heritage and roots, I would never dream of "downing" someone from where they originate, that's not being nice either, ethically, I just wouldn't do it, we, all of us talk differently...so what, but to say she only knows one(funnygirl) northerner, hardly makes her a connisseur on us does it?
