It's full of meaningless trivia like what is the clip of music that is on for about 2 seconds in the Harvey's Furniture Store advert, where can I buy the headscarf that the woman wears on the Maybelline advert and who is the unknown actor who provides for voiceover for Coco Pops Rocks.
One today said, "who is the actress who plays the blonde stewardess on the Virgin advert"
Apart from wanting to stalk them, why would anyone want to know such rubbish?

Anyway, I disagree. There are some fascinating, important and complex questions on their sometimes- my favourite is "which advert features the song they're tasty, tasty, very, very tasty" which crops up every few weeks.
My gripe is about the green newbies who ask questions about either bank sort codes, Mail on Sunday quizzes or last minute homework (where the answers are freely available via google) and never acknowledge our replies.

I think that's a rather narrow-minded point of view especially from someone with your user name. I don't frequent the Advert section but as far as I can see the posts, whilst drivel to you, are harmless, and do have some value to the people who ask the questions. Who are you to judge the values of other members?

OK, here is an example:
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Adverts/Questio n771081.html
In what year was a MIlky Way advert first shown?
Now apart from if the user has been asked this in a quiz, which it appears they have not, what use is this piece of information?

well another-view...would you like to ban the football section? The number of times I've peeked in there to see questions such as 'Name the last player to score a goal against Liverpool at home in the 1958 FA cup'.........now that's really interesting and life defining. Someone will enjoy finding out the answer and possibly debating the topic so good luck to them.......
But why then do people shout at me when I ask similar questions?
