Butter Icing adding colour that stays the colour...................
you intended. Can anyone please give me an idea what to use regarding buttercream icing for cakes and colours.? If you use butter or utterly butterly ect. whenyou add a colour it turns into a different colour all together. How can I make sure a blue or baby pink stays that colour.? Have read about Flora White but it just looks like lard and do no like to use it. What do they use in bakeries.?

Yellow won't be a problem because the butter is yellow.
Blue is difficult because you have a yellow base, (blue+yellow=green)
Similarly with Red, (red+yellow=orange)
I don't know what bakeries do but Lurpak is a very pale butter and it does go paler the more you beat it.
