Have had brilliant holidaysin the past with Wallace Arnold Coaches, but find they have been taken over by Shearings. The coaches I have seen locally do not inspire confidence - has anyone any recent experience with Shearings either UK or abroad, please ?

Hi,
Just one experience with Shearings when we went to Lake Como. The hotel was just AWFUL. Full of students each night and the noise was indescribable.
Took an absolute age to get any compensation, the holiday was truly ruined. Would not use them again. Am trying Leger this year.
Shearings use "feeder" coaches to take you to their teminus, from there you are placed onto the coach for the holiday, this takes time,so you probably have seen the feeder coach.
David Urquart coach holidays you get on your coach at pick up point and stay on it.
These holidays in the UK take you to comfortable, clean, middle of the road hotels, serving traditional English food, usually past their best and are frequented mainly by senior citizens and the entertainment provided is watchable but not exactly top notch.
Funnily enough its usually the coach driver who can make or break these type holidays for you and the price is usually reasonable.
I can only give my opinion about UK holidays, but I ahve noticed that coach holidays taking you abroad are exceptionally cheap for what you get so therefore you should not expect 5 star treatment when u get there.
If you are not happy with your holiday in the UK you can always come home.
