So glad I got myself a four wheel drive car.
I have had a four wheel drive car for the last 5 years ...
Tend to keep them from new until the 3 year warranty runs out and then trade in.
It's my luxury in life ...don't smoke or drink ...
What will happen when the greens and government have us all driving around in small electric buggies.
With global warming and the gulf stream slowing down and thus the UK facing Canadian type winters ...we will all need four wheel drives ...hold on ...but will that not speed up global warming ?
First car was a X-Trail ...
Now have a Freelander 2 ..HSE ...Good car ...
Fancy a Hummer next ...no only joking ...not sure what I want next ...
That will be in 2011 ...
My husband has had a Land Rover Discovery for years & it has well served its purpose for us. The government either want these vehicles off the road, or to penalise & tax the likes of you & him to the hilt for driving them.
I noticed a plea on Sky News today, that some councils are now asking anyone with a 4x4 to help people who cannot get out of their houses, or to assist people stuck in the snow.
P.S. I have a mercedes esprit which is very difficult to get out of the drive due to the heavy snow - however, my husband hasn't missed a days work, as he has no problem getting out of the drive in his 4x4!
I can't really be bothered to enter the debate on the rights and wrongs of Chelsea tractors but you there is a 4x4 smart car and a fiat panda 4x4. The best of both worlds?
Just as many 4x4s stuck today, does't matter how many wheel drive you have got if you drive it like your indestructable which seems to be the way most of the 4x4 drivers are round here, most of them are in a ditch walking home!
Wow the smart does a four by four version.
Does that have a low ratio gear box , locking diff and high ground clearance ?
Cool ....
It does annoy me when people tell me how to live my life and what I can and can't drive ....
Lets face it folks ...the plant is finished and has a finite life left , in which it can support a human population when it reaches a certain size.
I see the crunch coming in the next 100 years , regardless of what we are doing now ...
The answers of course are ...
- Halt world population growth and a large reduction in population during the next 50 years.
- Stop the third world countries adopting the western way of life.
- Developed countries downgrading living standards.
None of the above will happen ....
So lets enjoy whaqt we have now and to hell to what will happen in 100 years either way ...
Don't know if you drive or not Brenda - but if you do & you ever get stuck in the snow, or in thick mud, I would hope you wouldn't call a kind 4x4 driver, who would be willing to help you - a pr*t!
