Hello all,
Further to my recent enquiry on Friday night, I'm wondering if I were to pen an idea for a website on paper, outlining the function and facility of the proposed website, would I be able to copyright that document and would that give me protection if someone actually built a website similar, in say 2 years down the line?

No you can't copyright an idea. Otherwise, I would write down, "flying cars" and "3D television" then watch the pennies come in when someone invented them.

Let me put it another way. How would I protect a website contents of its software
from conception through to fruition?
