Audi TT thoughts

What do people think of the Audi TT. Thinking of getting one but friends say it's a hairdressers car!! I'm a middle aged guy. What do people think since I really like the look of the TT??

Looked at one (V6 model I think) but ended up buying a GTR. Glad I did.
Buy a high spec Z4.

lol, there are some quite nice newer Audis now. what about the R8?

if you get the TT will you get the obligatory number plate with TT in it somewhere? ;o)

I'd be inclined to go for an A4 convertible, or a BMW 6 series convertible. The TT is a very fun car to drive though. Don't think many people could afford the pricetag that comes with the R8!

Have you looked at buying a second hand supercar?

For that sort of money you could look at something like a Ferrari 355 or A-M DB7

Great answers and what great advice. But I still think that the new TT looks great and runs great..... any other advice from people? I appreciate the comments

Personally, i would go for the Z4, thats because i love BMW's! The TT is a very nice sports car however, the old TT was a nice sports car when it first came out, it soon became a hairdressers car, i am guessing the new one will go the same way, the R8 on the other hand, although expensive, it will never be a hairdressers car, it is a true sports car! :-) All i can say is - stick with German cars, best for quality!
