Open University or Manchester Uni?

I'm considering enrolling in University to study for a degree in English Literature, in the future, but I'm not sure weather I should apply to Manchester Uni or study the course with Open University. Which do you think would be best?

The OU is a distance learning centre. You can work full time and do the OU degree at the same time so the 2 are really for different situations.

Manchester definitely, study with the OU is excellent but can at times be very lonely.
