i have come across a bag which has inside a lot of 1930s French Disney comics and books...
however, they have got damp and now have mould on them...the mould just wipes off and leaves no real marks on the covers and pages...
the comics are in 2 binders an theres about years worth or so of weekly issues one of micky mouse and one of Popeye but the condition of them is pretty bad...the edges are browned, grubby and frayed - not because of the mould but just general wear an tear, having not really been looked after...
anyway many pages are largely intact - its the front few and back few that are pretty wrecked.
i just wondered if you thought anyone would be interested in these - for archives or something etc..? they can certainly be cleaned up but not really repaired...
is it worth me looking for a dealer ? woudl the fact that theyre in crap condition put them off
obviously id like a few quid if i can get it, but to be honest i just dont want to bin them, so id give them away to someone prepared to put the effort in
i cant imagine that many comic survived really, especially ones written in frech an it seems a shame to toss them as perhaps they could even be split up an the intact ones be saved...
i dont know...what to you think? and any ideas where i would look or who to contact...?
thanks

Ken Graham (or his equally knowledgeable wife & business partner, Joyce) should be able to tell you whether your find is worth anything. Why not give him a call (or send him an email)?
