Does anyone else in the UK have problems with the BBC digital signal. Recently I have found that most of the digital channels are okay but the BBC is not receivable or breaks up on a consistent basis. Is anyone else having this problem with the BBC. I am in the south of england and have a top quality digital aerial.

Thanks

Do you still receive Analogue signals, if so your Region has not yet switched over to Full Power Digital.

Yes analogue is fine, what I cannot understand is why it is only the BBC that is not getting a proper signal and all the other channels are fine on digital, most strange. Thank goodness I also have freesat.
(2-part post):

You state that you've got a 'top quality digital aerial' but I'm still confident that it's basically an aerial problem.

See my posts here for the reason that only certain channels are affected (and also only now, when atmospheric pressure is high):

Since you describe your aerial as 'digital' (although, strictly speaking, no aerial is actually 'digital'), I assume that you've had it installed fairly recently. Did the installer change the cabling at the same time? If not he's probably one of the vast majority of aerial fitters who claim to be 'experts' but who actually know next to nothing about what they're doing.
Ideally you should get a decent aerial fitter to install something like this:

or, if you're in a lousy reception area, something like this:
http://www.maplin.co.....aspx?ModuleNo=221124
together with some good quality, low loss cabling.

However, since your signal strength is nearly good enough, a simple signal booster (£9 from Asda) might well fix your problem.

It's also worth remembering that, in areas where analogue transmitters are still switched on, all Freeview signals are currently being transmitted at reduced power. (That's necessary in order to avoid interference to the analogue signals). When the changeover is completed you'll get stronger signals, with far less likelihood of any sporadic reception problems.

Look ...
How far are you from your transmitter ... and which transmitter is it?
Have you line of sight from antenna location without going through trees or buildings?
Riptide. I live in the north east of England and have similar problems mainly with ITV programmes and freeview slots.I have a fairly good aerial and a couple of good boosters but I still get problems fairly frequently when the weather is fine and sunny which apparently affects the signal, also as Redman and chico have said if you are still receiving analogue signals( as we are) we will all have to put up with these gremlins until we are all totally digitall.the mind boggles!!

Thanks all for your comments, I get my signal from the Hannington receiver. I looked on the web at aerials and mine supposedly is the best one you can get. It could be the cabling but as the aerial is so high off the roof in order to get a good signal and is always getting hit by lightning, think I will give up on it and stick to my freesat dish, so reliable. Would say that the problem got worse when we had to retune last September.
