When I used the ITV Player last night for the first time, although I swiched to Full Screen there was still spare black space top and bottom of the picture. I quickly tried the BBC I Player today and the same. So what can I do to have the picture cover the whole of the screen. I've seen this happen with my TV but was able to sort that out but cannot see how to do it on my monitor or is this in fact normal. Thanks for any help.
its shown in wide screen (16x9) like it is on your tv all your doing on the tv is choosing the 4x3 mode therefore loosing one third more or less of the picture as your pulling
in (zooming so to speak)
leave it as wide screen when you get a new tv it will be wide screen (hopefully)
it because that how it should be seen its in "wide screen" as is 99% of all broadcasts
if you have a square tv not wide screen then you have selected on the tv a picture size called 4x3 which fills a square screen but you are loosing the sides of the picture as i said you have pulled into it making it square .
the computer pic with black top and bottom is correct.if you have a square monitor
dont think so AB
this is from bjs
