Can I download The Sims 3 game from the internet?

I have a netbook with no cd/dvd drive. Can I download The Sims 3 from the internet? And if so where from.

EA games have a download client, i'm sure it is available through that as I downloaded one of the expansion packs through it.

I'm not sure a netbook will actually run SIMS 3 though. What are the specifications of your netbook? (RAM, graphics, Processor speed)

Any netbook will be nowhere near the specs required to run sims3, the required minimum specs are

Desktop:

CPU: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz, Athlon XP 2000+ (XP) // Pentium IV 2.4 GHz, Athlon XP 2400+ (Vista)
RAM: 1.0 GB (XP) // 1.5 GB (Vista)

Intel atom processor 1.66GHz . 1Gb memory 160Gb HDD Not sure about graphic, it says intel graphics media accelerator 3150
