Red routes

What's the difference between a single red line and a double red line? I thought a red route meant no stopping, full stop, but my local authority are introducing red routes, and some of the lines are single, and some double (?)

Red Lines
Seen less than the other colours, red lines ban all stopping, parking and loading. Double red lines apply at all times and single red lines apply usually during the working day. There are exceptions and they are indicated where they apply.
