chip reading cat flaps

Has anyone got a cat falp which reads microchips? Are they any good?
One of the neighbourhood cats is coming into our house and marking its terriritory. We have a standard cat flap and 2 cats of our own. We need to get this sorted!

But if the cat next door is a big bruiser of a boy cat he 'may' be able to force his way through - but I have only heard of this happening once.
It must be freaking your cats out - they should stand up to him! ;-)

I'm thinking of getting one next time I need to replace mine (my cats are big, and in panic they can end up with the frame as a girdle, halfway up the garden). I've got a leaflet here for Sureflap (www.sureflap.co.uk), you programme the door to your own cat's chip, or rather it does it itself when it sticks its head in the space.
If you do go for it. look on eBay or Amazon first - don't pay full shop price. I bought a Furminator on eBay for £6.99 recently, in a catalogue they were asking £31 for exactly the same thing!

here's one, others are up to £78 for the same thing. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk...s&hash=item2c5c553b0b
I got one to stop a big bully of a cat that used to come into my home, sometimes while I was there, and spray everywhere. It was brilliant and as well as stopping any other cat entering you could set it so that if my two weren't in when I went to bed, once they came in they couldn't go out again. It is safer for the cat to be kept in at night and safer for the fledglings early in the morning in spring as that is when cats are most likely to catch them. So I would say yes they are worth the money and are very effective.
oooh so many replies....thanks everyone! Yes the other cat is quite big and we've tried scaring it off with pints of water, shoes etc but it keeps coming back :( Our 2 will just sit there and let the other one in! It's even sprayed on my daughter's cot while she was in it...obviously all door are kept shut now, but I miss seeing my own cats sleeping at the end of the bed.
Thanks Box and Wolf for the links, I will do a little window shopping now!
