I need a packet of silica gel to keep my mobile phone dry

My Alcatel mobile phone has stopped working due to atmospheric moisture.
I have had to buy a new one and in order to avoid the problem recurring, I want to keep it in plastic bag with silica gel sachets.
Does anybody know where I can find a small quantity of silica gel sachets, please?

Try asking at a shoe shop robert ... go in and buy something cheap, maybe shoe polish or laces or something & ask if they have any sachets to spare!

I have some you could have but it says on the packet to throw away after use.

Might it not sweat in a plastic bag, silica or not? How did it get wet?

I have an Alcatel hope it isn't a fault. Although yesterday my OH was complaining that his phone was on emergency calls only - no service on his mobile, I ended up e-mailing the Guru @ 02, who told me to take out the sim card and dry everything, he waited until the phone was back in working order. Mrask had been playing bowls in the pouring rain with his phone in his jacket pocket, hence the damp phone.
