My cat gets sick alot

hi I have a two year old cat and it gets sick about once a week or so, he is very active and eats regularly and quite a mischievous cat so know he is generally happy out, there are other cats in the area and I know he does have falling outs with them so maybe this is causing him some grief. He usually gets sick straight after eating if he does get sick as all the food is completely undigested. Any ideas of what causes this?

Could be that he's bolting his food if it comes back straight away. Doesn't sound like fur balls, and if he's otherwise healthy and on the same diet all the time I wouldn't be too worried. My cat is regularly sick yet quite healthy. The vets haven't found anything wrong. If you are really worried, then take him to the vet, but all they do in my cat's case is suggest a change of diet which doesn't change things.

maybe he's bolting his food cos he thinks another cat may nick it - do the other cats every come into your house?

I agree with both of the above answers. My little thug guzzles his food some mornings and is then sick. His sister eats delicately and is seldom sick - but then she is a lady! ;-)

Yep we've got a greedy cat knicknamed fat knacker, she often throws up just after scoffing down her meat in record time. Nothing wrong with her though she's just plain greedy !

Thanks for all your answers guys, think I agree with you all, he is a bit greedy alright, other cats never come in but I don't think he understands the properties of glass, he knows he can't get through it but thinks the other cats can get in so scoffs everything before any other cats get it. Very funny actually, we put his food out one day and he sat guard at the end of the garden to make sure no other cats came in to get his food-all the while the birds one by one flew down and emptied his dish

He sounds like he is related to my stupid lady cat - she looks confused from the minute that she falls out of bed until she falls back in it at the end of the day.

My cat (prudie actually) has thrown up about 3 times a week for years and she is a healthy 14 year old. It's always straight after eating. I hate to say she regularly then eats it again as I can't bear to clean it up when it's warm. Sorry bleeeurghh I know.
