Phone the vet - they will advise you.

Yes, Kassee I wanted to know if anyone had any knowledge on here before ringing them as only the emergency vets is open at the moment and am sure they may be busy with other things, just wanted to know if it was serious or if she would be ok x
Probably OK because one has to think of them being safe if a human does this. If insured some companies do a vet phone in line, and I remember seeing something similar online once. You had to pay mind. I shall resist the let's hope they are brighter soon line.........
To be honest, unless she looks unwell, i wouldn't have thought any harm would come to her, well, apart from pink poo maybe!

I'd watch her overnight and phone the vet in the morning if still worried.
google the make of the pen and have a look at the chemical content - I've just looked at Sharpie and they are not toxic to humans if swallowed apparently.

Thanks all :), I will keep an eye on her, she's lying in her bed now so cant really tell how she's feeling (she knows she's done wrong and being punished as shes chewed a few things up). I'll google the make now x
Why on earth would you punish her for your stupidity in leaving her alone with things she can eat or destroy?
Question Author
I've got no choice other choice unless I put her in a cage, which I don't want to do as she's into chewing everything at the moment. I'd have to pit jerkin a room that is completely empty which isnt an option
Question Author
Silly phone changing words, put her****
At the very worst I expect her pooh will glow in the dark.
Question Author
LOL oh dear, she seems fine today, but will keep an eye on here for the next few days x
"(she knows she's done wrong and being punished as shes chewed a few things up)."

She does not know she has 'done wrong' and does not know why she is being punished. She just knows that you came home and started shouting at her and punished her - for welcoming you home!

Dogs live in the instant.

Punishment can only be effective if you catch them actually in the act. You would not praise her for doing something an hour ago would you? So why punish her for something she did an hour ago? She has long forgotten about it.

She will probably avoid you when you come back home next time, not because she is feeling 'guilty' but because you usually shout at her!

I would much rather crate a dog than have a dead dog, the next thing she could chew could be an electric wire or something that is really poisonous to her (like a bottle of bleach).
Question Author
I didn't come home and shout at her actually, I
Walked through the door and she run to her bed, which she
Does when she has done something wrong, when she hasn't done anything wrong she runs to the door and jumps up at me, so
I don't see how she cannot know she's done wrong sorry, I dont care how many people tell me differently, she would not act
Like this if she had no idea what shed done. I hadn't seen the mess she made before she run to the bed so had no time to shout at her.
