As well as the tablets, we've got to get some liquid stuff into him. No chance in the food so tried the blanket again - well a new blanket without holes or bloodstains.

No problem for about 5 seconds & then........one quick jerk of his head & the syringe flew out of his mouth just as the "stuff" was being squirted out. I don't think the amount that shot up my flatmate's nose will do him any harm. Apparently is a painkiller for use after soft tissue damage. Quite useful really under the circs.

Abcess must be healing as it seems to be a bit itchy. Smoke is rubbing it against anypart of me he can can get to. Woken up by cat rubbing his scabby head against my nose this morning. Fab.....

I had a bust up with my little boy last night - I managed to catch him to give him his inhaler before bedtime. I am fat and unfit and he can outrun me no problem. I eventually caught him and he stuck his claws into my boobs - right through my new chemise, it is not an expensive one which is good but I have some nasty wounds on my boobs.

They are such fun to be around!

Wolf, I try to think of those sort of things as free accupuncture! I'm the same as you - fat & unfit -it's not just being outrun, it's the gazelle like leaps Smoke can do when he wants. Amazing how quick such a lazy boy can be if the mood takes.

A couple of times I have decided that if he can run away from me at such speed then an asthma attack wasn't imminent. He doesn't even seem to mind having the inhaler and the little mask on his face, I think that he either doesn't like being cuddled (big tough tom cat!) or he is taking the pi55 (because he is a cat and that is what cats do).

I can really understand why people hate cats.
