Poured myself a glass of Stella, went to the lavatory while the adverts were on, came back and my pint glass was empty and the dog was licking her lips. She was looking for another can, the dipso.
The cat likes bitter, he'll only steal Boddingtons or Tetleys.
My old cat once drank a glass of southern comfort a friend had left at the end of the night. She spent the next day lying half in half out of her bed and ran away every time she smelled alcohol for the remaining 15 years of her life. If only we all learned so quickly...
Alcoholic drinks contain sugar which the creatures are attracted to.
It isn't clever or funny to ply pets with alcohol, so please make sure your drink is away from the dog and cat.
< Frank loves a drop of beer, so much so that I can't take him to the pub anymore as he barks every time I lift the glass to take a drink, he's also rather partial to vodka and coke.
As far as I've ever been aware all dogs like beer. In our village there was a bassett who used to take himself off to the pub at lunchtimes, get plied with booze in ashtrays by the clients and frequently found to be passed out on the village green where he used to get recovered and carted off home by soemone who knew where he lived. Never seemed to cure him of his liking because anytime he could get out of the garden he'd be back. Lovely old dog and a real character:)
My friend had two whippet x ? pups, and we were sitting in a pub garden on a lovely sunny day when we heard slurping behind us, and the little blue pup was lapping up cider from the tray where it had been spilt earlier. From that day forward the blue pup was called Rosie - as in "Cider with......"
