Door Screen For Cats

We want to open our outside porch door in warm weather,but stop our 2 cats getting out. does anyone know of a secure way of doing this .screen door or something like that.

Try screen door or something like that.

My sister has two cats and has put a harness and leash on them since they were kittens. They now walk with her like a dog on a leash. Not to be recommended if they're not used to a harness though.

A friend of mine who lives in Spain had a wooden door screen with wire mesh made for her by the local chippy. She wanted it so that she could keep the flies out bu let some fresh air in. Don't ask me how it was done but it shouldn't be beyond a competent DIYer I shouldn't think.

My friend has the same thing - a wooden frame with chicken wire which hooks into the door space on the outside, so she can open the door inwards without the cats being able to get out.

Yes that sounds about it boxy. Works very well. I wonder if we have the same friend.
