We have just come in from shopping, Isla (belgian shepherd dog) has managed to take off the candlewick bedspread we keep on the sofa - UNDER another cover which is tied down to the sofa, without untying any of the top covers! How (and why?) she has managed to do this I do not know! Her nose is a bit out of joint, as she is missing a cat that actually belonged to some neighbours, but popped in to see us every day. The neighbours appear to have moved on, so presumably have taken the cat too. He and Isla got on very well, played together, and would sleep on the sofa together sometimes. We will miss him. But I've obviously got to find something to occupy her mind a bit more.
I don't know where they have moved to, psybbo, but if there's a house near with a bit of food and a sunny patch to sleep in, he'd be happy. They had 3 children who were quite noisy and I think he came to us for a bit of peace
Thanks for all the answers, we do have some animals between us, don't we.
Max had very loud bark which ranged from a real scary bark as if to say "what the flump are you doing on my street" for strangers to a very gentle woof to say "you can stop and make a fuss of me if you like".
The saying that "we own dogs, but cats have slaves" seems to be very true.
sorry, doesn't count Andy - do you throw it back over into next doors' garden?
