Why is this?

She has ALWAYS got to be sitting on my chest , tummy or shoulder or with her head in the curve of my neck!

She follows me everywhere! Toilet, bath, kitchen!

Why is this? I LOVE her but i cant even move for her lol i can forget watching TV because she is always nose to nose with me! Ha! X

It's c'us she loves ya, tinks.
guess you are her new muma xx
Get used to it, mine's 5 years old and still does it!
spot on tone!
Bless. Mine were the same! They have outgrown in slightly and i can sometimes go to the loo by myself. I think it partly depends on what breed you have. Some are more independent than others.

Thats what i thought! Shes in love! But god she is hanging off my shoulder when i eat and sitting on my chest as i attempt to watch tv! Lol! Mr tinks says she loves me more!!

I tried to stop the face licking cos it was constant and read that they replace that with other "closeness" such as cuddling to your chest! She sleeps in her own bed but if she comes to mine for a cuddle shes on my head. Lol x

Shes a typical little westie!

Im on the loo- shes got her paws on my knee!
If shes not trying to fling herself in bath with me she waits and lies next to the bath and as SOON as my leg goes on the floor she licks me to death!

Under my feet when im cooking - x
She's worried you'll leave her and she loves you. Great to see you tinks and hope life is good, love sibs
I won't allow my dog on the sofa any more because she became to attached to me, and I've never allowed her in my bed. It seems to have worked so far, although she still follows me everywhere. I place her bed outside of the bedroom door at night so she is still near but not too close. For a Jack Russell she is too much of a softy, which can cause problems when walking as she will not stand up for herself against other dogs, she'll hide behind my legs instead. OH blames me for making her too soft, but I love her just the way she is!

Hello sib!!

Can always rely on here for an opinion!! Lifes good!!

Aw well! I guess i better get used to it lol xx

Ps alwaysconfused she isnt soft at all she is soo feisty! Unlike my other westie who dosent live here now he is at mums house he is a daddys boy but she is fearless!! X
always confused, both my dogs sleep on the bed with me and share the settee, but have no problems at all with other dogs, the two aren't linked! Also you are better off having a dog who relies on you when it is feeling uncertain than one who wants to get their bite in first!
PS we don't share the loo or the bathroom though except if there is thunder, then they are allowed to stay close to me all the time.
I dont know if its something in the breed but my westie is the same, though he isnt allowed on the furniture since he had a couple of accidents :-(
Don't worry. I have 5 twelve year-old dogs that do that, fighting and pushing to get prime position. Just accept it. You've only got the one. You can gently persuade them that they are being a damn nuisance. Mine sulk off when I tell them to get down but it'll never be more than a temporary solution.

Theres no way i could keep her off the couch!! Just no way i cant even keep her off me!

Just LOVE westies xx

I love that she loves me & wants to be close to me & clean me, she even brings her food in from kitchen to livingroom in teeny bits from her bowl to "share" lol

And they called it puppy looooove!!

Ill just have to watch programmes looking by her lol x
My Heeler baby is four and a half months and fortunately she is not too clingy, as she has five other dogs to share me with. She is however just teething so is now starting to exercise her teeth on every surface and even my ankles if I am not careful! The joys of new puppies - I wouldn't change them for the world as they are with us such a short time. Doesn't seem five minutes since her great-grandmother was born, eighteen years ago next month.
