I thought that my two were getting a little chubby - but they are petite compared to Meatball.

On a positive side he will be easy to catch to take to the vet (unlike young Francis). Alas you would probably do your back in trying to pick him up.

I hope that they manage to get him rehomed

That is such a shame for him - poor Meatball. Our No 1 Son is 6.5 kilos, he's put on a bit of weight since he's been on his arthritic medication, and the vet said yesterday that if he doesn't lose a bit of weight, back to his normal 5.5ish kg, he'll have to go on a clinical diet. Compared to our other two, he weighs a ton, but he's still agile. Poor Meatball - only four years old :-(

seekerz - this is Merlin http://tinyurl.com/q7vv3wz She looks sweet and innocent but is almost as scary as her Scottish Wild Cat cousin. Frankie and Merlin are litter mates but are totally different in both looks and character.

My Barney was a really big cat. Not fat just tall and long. Even the vet admired him and often asked if I wanted to give him up to call him. Never, he was the love of my life (in the cat world) I still think about him all the time.

Caspar weighs 12lb...and he is a big lump....tiny compared to poor meatball.

Frankie has put on weight due to his regular steroid use, he gets the munchies and drinks half the water in Scotland. But he is just over 5kg so is still okay. Meatball looks like a ball with tiny legs stuck on.
