I Want A Cat
25 Answers
or kitten but realise this is not possible at the moment. I have gone over it in my mind and know that getting it to the vet for jabs or anything that may go wrong may not be possible when it needs help, so I have befriended a few local cats. I feed them left over fish and meat, give them a stroke and even a cuddle to the friendly ones. I have never let them in to the house. Today some woman who I've never seen before gave me a right mouthful for talking to her cat. Even the cat ran away. When I had cats I loved it when people took an interest in them. Just a sad rant really.

Cats will go where they are loved, and there is food, it is a compliment that they allow you to pet them. When you get a bum hole in your face you know that they trust you.

I know it's sad to be told off for liking a cat, but I've seen people really concerned when other people start feeding their cats. Two of mine are on prescribed diets for medical conditions, but will still polish off anything put in front of them. Cuddling them and chatting is fine, but tbh being an alternative diner for them is not really a good idea.
You'd be fine getting your own cat, jeza - they don't need the vets that often, and you could do what I do, just hop in a taxi on those infrequent occasions. They give you so much friendship, unconditionally, and they are wise little things, they just sense when you need a cuddle, too :-)
