I am looking after my daughters Maltese while she is abroad, and she has been on heat about a week.

She is going round in circles and licking/nibbling her privates, and whimpering, is this normal?

Sorry forgot to ask, how long does it go on for?

You can get pills from the Vet trt,to bring her out of season.

Watch her like a hawk or else she will escape in her search for a dog. A bit like humans. :-)

A couple of weeks or so,but her urge starts to diminish towards the end.
