Problem With Young Cat
8 Answers
My cat is now 18 months old. Very sweet most of the time, but since neutering she doesnt like being picked up, or put down, but actually is fine in between, while I am holding her. She seems to have got grumpier since neutering. She seems to be hungry and meows for food most of the time, and now has quite a rounded belly, she weighs around 3.7kg. I think its kg! I feed her a sachet of HiLife around 9.30am and the same around 3.30pm with a small amount of Whiskas milk to keep her quiet around 12.30pm, I am a bit worried about overfeeding. Now I have noticed she has started a very short loud yowl, four times today, for no reason. When I stroke her, she is not vicious though. Could there be something wrong with her?

I have a cat who will go mad if you try to pick her up or hold her. 3.7 kg is not at all heavy, I'd wonder if you aren't actually feeding her enough, my cats would yowl all day if they only got fed twice :-).I would just ask if she's been wormed regularly as that could make her ask for food and have a rounded belly. Other than that I wouldn't worry so much.
