Dogs Barking

Whilst watching a recent Police Interceptors I was struck about the variance in Alsatians barks and was wondering if Male dogs had deeper barks than bitches?

I always thought the bigger the dog, the deeper the bark !

Male dogs don’t have a deeper bark than females. Yes smaller dogs do tend to bark in a higher pitch than bigger dogs. Sometimes the pitch of the batk is breed related, somtimes its personal to the dog. My two are litter brothers. One of them has a bark that is distinctly deeper than the other, really east to tell the difference.
