I've found nearly every position advertised requests a junior with a minimum of "maybe three to ten" years experience.

Ok, when did that experience accumulate?

Our government has moved the goalposts many times regarding retirement age.

Dammmm, once I thought it was a short haul to a pension.

What's it like where you live?

Its much the same all over the country, its cheaper for companies to employ a junior rather than a fully experienced qualified person. Sadly we get to a certain age and are deemed as unemployable, past our sell by date!
