Wednesday. It's a wee bit warmer outside this morning. I was able to leave the back door open for WWT to come and go as she wanted to during the night, instead of her waking me up every five minutes!
I have a pair of Blackbirds nesting in the back hedge. The first time I've seen them. There are the usual sparrows and various makes of other small birds. It's a joy to watch them coming and going, feeding their young. They do work hard to bring up their wee ones.
I don't think there is much to do today. so I might take the bull by the horns and tidy my desk. A major undertaking!

Good morning boaty. I thought nesting birds had flown. My wife cut the hedges yesterday. She said she wouldn’t until the young had left. I’m puzzled. We had a sparrows nest.

Morning david, They usually have left by now, but there are several still feeding young.

Still breathing thanks. :o} Being kept fit by the Wee white Tornado wanting walkies as often as possible.

Yes as expecting visitors - they have not confirmed just rang and said they had a few free days. lol. Definitely visitors at start of June but only for a week or so. Really want to get the garden sorted.

So you're not sure if they are coming or going! Not very helpful of them is it!

I just like seeing them. Knowing they want to travel all that way to see us is good enough. They could stay at home and go out with friends without the hassle of that drive and the traffic.

I understand that. Good friends are well worth a bit of effort are they not.

morning Boaty xx well pooped ! re-barked all flower and shrub beds...after cutting in new edges and raking out...cut everyone's grass..spiked and fed my own too... swept out patio potted up a few bits..then window cleaner arrived so had to do the insides !!

Minty I'm tired just reading that! My windows need a clean too. I may do that today.

shopping today as tomorrow we are taking neighbour for his heart check up..he was going to take bus and walk..quite a long way...blummin' daughters were letting him..at 80 ! GGRRRR...
