Hi folks, we are getting a border collie pup at the end of October. He's from a proper remote Pennine farm. We've trawled the net for a name we can give him. We've had collies before, Skye and Ricky and springer Sam. Not wanting to use those names and looking for one that doesn't remind us of anyone. At the mo our faves are Jett, Brae, Ben, Fly, Marley and Brynn. Any others we could consider?

Let me think...... Erm..... NO!
We have working Collies and they all havve one syllable names. At the moment we have a Bess, Jess (daughter of Bess) and Sam ( nicknamed rambo as he's a thug). Of the above names I like Brynn, its short and sharp. Come bye Brynn, lie down Brynn ...LIE DOWN Brynn!! ;-)
We had Chip & Sweep.
Flower
Jack/Jill.
I like human names for animals. How about Archie, Bertie or Winston or perhaps Seth.
Oh sorry, it's a 'he', forget Jill then!
Barney?

His parents are Chris and Nell, we've tried using them to spell some out.
I had a Working Sheepdog called Bryn - my friend had a boyfriend who wasn't really 'doggy' and trying to make conversation he asked 'how did you come by Bryn?' - my friend and I were doubled up laughing and he had no idea what was so funny.
Collies are nutters lol! They need a short sharp name (sound) that brings their focus back ;-)

I think Rex is good for a collie - King of the hill and all that..or how about "Chill" from the parents names.
Bob or Bobbie. if he is black then definitely Bob.
We had a collie once and named him Stay, when you called , " here stay " , the poor thing didn't know if he was coming or going.
Shane, nice and masculine
My daughters collie is called Dug.
The collies/sheepdogs I know are called Jess(boy),Meg, and Boots(both girls).
