i was quite shocked reading about Tobias Wood running over a bengal cat then his house had windows broken with a croquet mallet and his house egged ,a neighbour said he didn't realise he had killed the cat until afterwards .it was a narrow country lane why did the owners let it out, cats are always running into the road around where i live and accidents happen all the time .

i just found it OTT
Some neighbours are quite cross with Tobias. One, who owns a cat named Boris (after PM) and a dog named Stanley (after his dad) said if it happened to her she would have done something about it too...but, she added, she still supports the Conservative Party.... :-)
I agree that the actions by the looney was OTT.

If he had intentionally killed the cat (it happens) I could understand their anger but it seems to have been an accident. It is a risk that people take when letting their cats roam free.

The world is getting crazier every day.

Just an accident, he hasn’t realised and offered to replace the cat.
Mountain out of a mole hill.

But Ellwood offered recompense for the feline, so what’s the problem?

I meant that he is going to get a shock at the cost of a kitten. He is doing the right thing, I would hate to be responsible for the death of a well-loved furry family member.

He apparently lives in a million pound property, I’m sure he’ll cover it with loose change!
@jura 13.20...if I'd spent £5000 on a moggie, I'd hope they would lock ME up, to regain my sanity.
