Revellers over the hedge are celebrating a young Scot surviving to the great age of 21 and treating us to incessant if tuneless noise complete with the usual whoops and screams from the laydees. The barking dog is a bonus.

These, incidentally, are some of the same ones who beatch and whine about fireworks every year on Facebook but are happy to torture Rover's sensitive ears with their drug-inspired garbage.

I may have to sleep with the Quiet Comfort headphones on tonight.
