I was about to purchase a colouring balm for my suite but got talking to chatline who told me to buy something else so I was to finish purchasing and was about to pay when it came up that I was being charged £70 for shipping.  This place is about 35 miles away from me.

Can anybody tell me what this is.  Now I did go back to the chatline but they had switched off so I left an email.  Just wondered at this large amount.  Thanks for any answers

Some sellers quote ludicrous prices for the item itself and/or the shipping etc. Don't deal with them!

Good afternoon,

It appears to relate to the carriage of dangerous goods.

well I have just gone back and browsed and have found that there are two furniture clinics - one in Bangor Northern Ireland and the other is in Consett? England - so I think I have been trying to buy from the wrong one.  I will try the NI one later on.  Thanks for replies.

ok - contacted the Bangor company and he is no longer selling products just an upholsterer now - told me I could buy it in Amazon.  That's great - so have bought the repair paint well it's in the basket - the chatline girl told me to buy alcohol cleaner but  on Amazon very expensive - I know nothing about alcohol cleaner but can I buy any brand -

Colouring balm ? Repair paint ? Tell me more, it sounds interesting.

You need to use an alcohol cleaner to remove all traces of grease, wax, polish etc...otherwise the colouring product just won't adhere. I suspect that it's no more than isopropyl alcohol and water. (I always have a decent amount of the ipa in the house - it's so useful for all sorts of cleaning, sanitising etc).

My woman has a fairly new light coloured 3 piece suite, but it has developed marks, almost as if it had been painted and worn off ! Really weird. Maybe we should be looking at this.
