my son was exactly the same! and according to my mum so was i!!! we tried everything with my son but he was a stubborn little thing we near enough gave up!! in the end we had to take him in the toilet when we had to go and show him what we had done and make a big thing about flushing it away. i think he just had some kind of fear of the situation, i know what we did probably sounds disgusting but it worked and within a week he was keen to try it himself!! he was singing and shouting goodbye to his poo when he flushed the chain!! hope your situation improves soon xXx
I do the same thing with my son and it works, so much so we have to say bye bye to poo where ever we are...alll part of the fun!!
Small children are often frightened of the concept of bowel evacuation, so making a game of it with them is a perfect way of getting them used to the process. It's all part of the joy of parenthood!
I agree - make it seem fun, with my son we told him that when we flush the poo goes to the seaside and it will have a lovely time!! I know how gross this sounds - but it worked for us!!

A xXx
When my daughter was at that stage, I knew she wanted to go, she knew she wanted to go, but she just couldn't sit on the toilet and go. I used to put a nappy on her, she'd go, then we'd flush it away and then after a while, she felt comfortable enough to go on the toilet.

Thank you all for your answers.yes certainly will try what you say.The problem is he will sit on the toilet and wee but today he had just started to poo and I caught him and it popped into the toilet so then we had the sing song and good bye song so hope fully we might get results.and to PUZZLES 54 this was how it was done with my other grandson but he was younger when he started so my daughter doesnt want to go back to putting a nappy on now except at night . Thanks again.
Both my kids did the same thing. I had a girlfriend tell me to tell them that when they go and they flush it was going to the poo poo party. I know it sound nuts but it worked. she sd a doc. told her about it. and with my daughter I took a clear jar and filled it with candy and put it up high in the bathroom where she couldnt get to it, but could see it and everytime she went she got a piece of candy. She was in there like every 5 min. but again that worked well to. good luck, hope this helped
