Is it a good idea to give ordinary milk from the supermarket to dogs or is it bad for them ?

My Aunty fed all of her dogs cows milk and they were heathy as.
Depends on the dog ! Some dogs are markedly lactose intolerant. The condition seems more common in dogs than in humans .The statement that no dog should be fed cheese or milk is a cautious generalisation. The truth is that three of my dogs will fight to get a piece of cheese; another dislikes it ;all of them drink cow's milk so presumably nobody has told them !. However it is not usual to give young pups full- fat cow's milk; it seems to be too rich for them when they have only recently been taking the much lighter milk of the dam. The adult dogs certainly have shown no ill effect in the long term..
dogs, milk; love it.
