Sorry,link doesn't work.it was an article from News of the World,showing that some owners are having their cats shaved to look like lions! The main body area and legs are completely shaved bare. Check it out online.

Yeah someone sent me an email once with a cat shaved and it looked like a poodle, it looked extremely pi��ed off and I thougth it was a horrible thing to do to an animal that should have fur. :(

I can't put into words what I feel about this - it's not nice.

My pal's cat had his back leg shaved by the vet and it looked like a turkey drumstick.

It is awful to look at, and by the look of the cat's face in the article he doesn't look too chuffed either.. The owner could always buy him a little hoodie to hide the bald bits!!

Some people are totally bonkers! Poor cats - you're right they look totally p****d off. A cat's got dignity - how's he gonna hold up his head in front of his mates looking like that? And as for what the girls are gonna say........that's his love-life down the pan!

yeah - a cat has to have some street cred.

It's pointless to do something like this and I am sure that very few cats would actually cooperate with the person shaving off his fur.

My late monster would have attacked at the firs sign of clippers.

Thanks folks.I just can't understand how so called animal lovers do this to their pets.I also think its very dubious behaviour on the part of those "salons" that actually agree to shave those poor wee cats!

Crikey! what an insane thing to do a cat, "poor thing" what are these people thinking of, it must have traumatic for the cat.


When I've had my females spayed and they have had a small amount shaved for the operation, I have always thought how odd it looked until the fur grow back. X X X :-)
