Does anyone know how long budgies live for i've got one that's 16 yrs old???????

8-10 years is usually average....yours has done well !!!

If you have one that is 16 then thats fantastic!!!!!!!!!!,if a budgie lives in an aviary then the life span is about 6-8 yrs..........depending on if it has been used for breeding.If it hasnt been used for breeding then a yr or 2 longer.In the house caged.they can go either way......it all depends if its been stuck in a cage without flight.If its been let out for exercise then a good age is 8-10 but if it just has got fat with no exercise then shorter.So.....if your IS 16 then you have done really well.We breed them and cockatiels and cockatiels have a life span of 25yrs plus.Regards.

Do budgie years alter like dog and cat years do.? We had ours for 13 years but 16 is fab. I wonder what that is in human terms
