When can I hold the hamster babies ?

When can I hold the babies from my syrian hamster? they are 15 days old. The mother looks mean every time I come around the cage.

Do NOT attempt to hold the babies!!! if you do the chances are the mother will eat them .They are very protective over them and will see you as a threat. Do not hold them until you are rehoming them.
Experts even say not to clean the cage out whilst they have babies as that can cause them to kill the babies. Leave well alone!!

my baby hamsters are 9 days old, I havent touched them yet but I've read that its ok to hold them when they're 14-16 days and you can clean the cage out then too. so you should be ok by now if the mums a problem take her out of the cage 1st. the boys need separating from the girls at 21 days so you're gonna have to handle them soon anyway, the girls can aparently stay with mum untill 28 days
