I want to spend this summer seeing something of The UK rather than going abroad, load up the car and follow my nose ! I will have to take my small cairn terrier and fear that I may not be able to secure lodgings that will take her. Does anyone know of a register or other guidance as to how I can solve the problem?

Good luck & have fun!
There are several guide books for this available, one of which is Dog Friendly Pubs, Hotels and B&Bs, a small paperback in the Good Guides series. ISBN is 0-091-88904-9 and the cost is 5.99. You may be able to borrow one or two from your local library if you don't want to fork out the money!
Why not give your dog a holiday too and put it in kennels?
