my cat has started to bringing wood into the house why?

A friends 4 year old siamese cat that has been spayed has started to bringing in pieces of wood, twigs into the house-can anybody give me any suggestions why please?

Mine bring in lumps of moss of ours and the neighbours garage roofs, but im sorry, i dont know why.

I tend to just let them get on with it really!

My 11 month old cat, frankie, does the same but he also steals from peoples houses (other cat's toys, babies dummys, buttered toast, roast chicken legs, reels of cotton...) he also brings about 10 worms a week in, if he ever does anything bad and we have to tell him off we get lots more things brought in for abourt 48 hours. We think he's appologising, and that he's just generally providing for his familly (me & my b/f!) when we lived in the countryside the cats used to bring back birds mice rabbits etc. but because he's in the city we get worms and twigs. I havent found a way to stop him, it seems mean to tell him off, coz he's only thiking of us!!

yep, i agree. i think they believe they are providing for their family. I think it is precious and i would give them a big kiss and a cuddle for every little "gift" they brought home.

It's very embarrassing when they start to bring in bits of laundry and you know it's not yours! The odd sock here and now is okay but when they pinch knickers .....!

The siamese is probably so interbred that it now thinks it a bird.
