Beagle anxiety

i have a beagle and she suffers from anxiety. She is ok if you leave her in the house and go out but she will not tolerate being on her own if we are in the house. She will not sleep on her own and when we have tried to leave her on her own she works herself into such a state of anxiety that we just give in. What can be done?

Would look at crate training. We had an issue with our dog when we stopped he sleeping on our bed. She can easily open doors and the first few nights were a succesion of howling and her being led back to her bed. Worked in the end though
