Letting out your cat for the 1st time
2 Answers
Hi,
I am going to be letting my 7 month old cat out during the day whilst I am at work. I live in a 1st floor flat and am lucky to have a private garden, however there is no direct access for my cat so I can't fit a catflap. Does anyone have any advice as I don't want her to wander off but also feel the time is right to let her explore Thanks :-)

You can now buy a cat shelter which is a bit like a outside dog kennel, you could leave this outside for her to go into should the weather turn bad along with some food - this will encourage her to stay in the garden. Infact, you could just buy a small plastic outside dog kennel and put a bed, etc in there for her whilst you are at work.
My first rescue cat escaped within 3 days of having him and disappeared for 4 days - he came back though when he got hungry!
