My cat keeps being sick, sometimes three or four times a day. I told the vet last time we visited (about two weeks ago) and he didn't seem unduly concerned. She's about 15 years old and has been sick every day now for about three weeks, but I'm starting to really worry.

Can anyone suggest what might be making her sick?

I would try another vet, one that cares a little bit more!

This definately needs looking into.
Vomiting in older cats can be a sign of many things: kidney disease, liver disease, hypertyroidism, tumours and diabetes are the most common.

Do you notice your cat eating and drinking more, or has he lost a lot of weight recently?

Thanks both of you.

She's still eating the same amount and as she drinks from outside it's difficult to know whether she is drinking more than usual. However, as the sick is very liquid and sometimes clear I can only assume that she IS drinking more so thanks for pointing that out. She hasn't lost or gained any weight either, and she seems happy enough.

I guess I'll have to find another vet!
My 18 year old Burmese is similar to this - my vet is pretty sure he has a tumour but feels it would be unfair to investigate. He's not in pain and aside from weight loss seems quite happy but he's being sick although not everyday and is drinking lots.

I guess the question really is - how much invetsigation would you want her to have? With my boy he had surgery last year so we feel enough is enough at his age and we're letting nature takes its course.

I'm going to be heart broken but guess that part of being a responsible pet owner
