Hi,

My female adult rabbit has just starting digging in her pen, but only in one particular place. She then just sits in the place that she has dug. I have had her for over 2 years and have never seen her do this before. Does anyone know why she's doing it?

Thanks x

By the way, I know rabbits dig, but do they do what my rabbit does? Is it normal?
Our rabbits do this too. The only explanation I can think of is that she is making a liitle nest to sit in, rabbits like to be a little lower than normal height so they can spy on the outside world without being too conspicuous!
hi, my girl bunnies dig loads, they are experts, more so than my boy bunnies. They tend to do it most when it is hot, as it is much cooler under ground. sometimes they just dig a trench to lay in, if too hot to dig a hole!!
Rabbits love to dig so if they have to be kept in a cage with a wooden floor dig a big clod of earth and grass she'll love it also she should have a log to grind her teeth on, with these two toys she should be a happy bunny!
